Sacramento Lindy Exchange

I'm guest DJing a late night set at the Sac Exchange, which is exciting (especially since that was the first exchange I ever went to, so it has some sentimental value). I've been listening to a lot of blues lately (more than usual).

Something you should check out if you're interested in the blues:

Martin Scorsese Presents: The Blues: A Musical Journey.
It's a 7-part television series done by various well-known directors who all have a passion for blues music (Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, Charles Burnett, Wim Wenders, Richard Pearce, Marc Levin, and Mike Figgis). The films are collages ranging from fictional montages to documentaries, interviews, archival performance footage and current performances. Absolutely fascinating, especially if you're interested in the history of blues. Check it out.

Drop Dead Blues

I was really happy with this set - I felt like mixing it up a little and playing some music our scene doesn't get a lot of. So I did a mainly gospel inspired set. So much fun!
